Ingredients
Scale
- 6 ripe nectarines, pitted and halved
- 1/4 cup honey, plus more for drizzling
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange the nectarine halves, cut-side up, in a baking dish or on a large baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix together the 1/4 cup of honey and the ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Drizzle the honey-cinnamon mixture evenly over the nectarine halves, making sure to coat the tops and sides of each piece.
- If using, sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the nectarines.
- Bake the nectarines for 20-25 minutes, or until they are softened and the honey-cinnamon mixture has caramelized.
- Remove the baked nectarines from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Serve the nectarines warm, drizzled with additional honey if desired. For an extra indulgent touch, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of freshly whipped cream.
Notes
Choose ripe but firm nectarines to avoid mushiness. Adjust baking time based on fruit size and ripeness. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence.
