  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

These crispy honey garlic salmon bites combine golden crisped salmon with a sweet-savory glaze in a fast, delicious dish perfect for dinner or appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • lbs fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 34 tablespoons vegetable or avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Fresh parsley and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon dry, remove pin bones, and cut into 1½-inch cubes. Season with salt and pepper and let sit 10 minutes.
  2. Set up three shallow dishes for flour (with garlic and onion powder), eggs, and panko. Dredge each salmon cube in flour, dip in egg, then coat in panko.
  3. In a bowl, whisk honey, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, oil, ginger, and optional red pepper flakes to create the glaze.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook salmon in batches 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp. Don’t overcrowd the pan.
  5. Once all salmon is cooked, reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter to pan, then pour in glaze and gently toss salmon to coat.
  6. Cook 1–2 more minutes to let glaze caramelize. Garnish with parsley and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh, high-quality salmon for best texture. Maintain 350°F oil temperature while frying. Add glaze only after salmon is crispy to avoid sogginess. For gluten-free, use rice flour and gluten-free panko.
