Description
This homemade Dollywood cinnamon bread captures the magic of the famous theme park treat with swirls of sweet cinnamon sugar and a vanilla glaze. Soft, buttery, and irresistibly nostalgic!

- 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
- 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar (for yeast)
- 3½ cups bread flour (or all-purpose)
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 4 tbsp softened butter (for filling)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3–4 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt (for glaze)
Instructions
- In warm milk, dissolve 1 tbsp sugar and sprinkle yeast. Let foam for 5–10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, salt. Add yeast mixture, eggs, and melted butter. Mix and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled.
- Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter for filling.
- Punch down dough, roll into 12×18-inch rectangle. Spread filling, roll into log, and cut in half.
- Place each half in a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan. Rise again for 45–60 minutes until crowned.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Brush tops with butter. Bake 30–35 minutes until golden and 190°F inside.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then remove to wire racks.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and salt into a smooth glaze. Drizzle over warm bread.
- Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For added richness, replace some milk in the glaze with cream cheese. Add orange zest to the dough or glaze for a holiday twist. Mini loaves make great gifts!
