Ingredients
For the Chicken:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (6–8 oz each)

For the Parmesan Coating:

For the Sauce:

2 cups marinara sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried basil

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Topping:

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Prep Chicken: Pound chicken to ½-inch thickness. Mix buttermilk, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Marinate chicken in the mixture for 1–4 hours.

Coating: In a shallow dish, mix panko, breadcrumbs, both cheeses, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne.

Dredging Station: Set up three dishes:

Flour, salt, pepper

Whisked eggs and milk

Parmesan breadcrumb mixture

Bread Chicken: Pat chicken dry. Dredge in flour, dip in egg, and press into breadcrumb mixture. Let coated chicken rest 5 minutes.
