Instructions

  2. Dice strawberries and toss with granulated sugar; set aside to macerate for 15 minutes. Then drain and toss with 1 tablespoon flour.
  3. Brown the butter in a medium saucepan, then remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Whisk in brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and lemon juice into the brown butter.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in lemon zest and floured strawberries.
  7. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan and bake for 28-32 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
