- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet, drain excess fat
- Add diced onions and minced garlic, cook until softened
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk
- Mix in frozen vegetables
- Transfer mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish
- Arrange tater tots evenly on top of the beef mixture
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the tater tots
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly
- Let casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving
