Method
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- Place the chicken thighs in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
- In the same bowl, sprinkle the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and dried thyme (and any optional seasonings).
- Toss the chicken thighs to ensure they are evenly coated with the seasonings.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through. Cooking time depends on chicken thigh thickness.
- Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Chicken is done when it reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken thighs from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked to a safe internal temperature. Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model. Experiment with different seasonings and marinades for variations. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer, microwave, or oven.
