Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded thin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 large tortilla wraps

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs or forks
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and season with the dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, or until it's cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it cool slightly. Once it's cool enough to handle, shred the chicken using two forks.
  5. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Mix well until the cheese is evenly distributed.
  6. Lay the tortilla wraps on a clean surface. Divide the chicken and cheese mixture evenly among the wraps, spreading it in a line down the center of each wrap.
  7. Fold the bottom of the wrap up over the filling, then fold in the sides and continue rolling the wrap tightly to enclose the filling.
  8. Place the wrapped chicken rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake the wraps in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the wraps are lightly golden.
  10. Remove the wraps from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

- Pounding the chicken breasts to an even thickness ensures they cook evenly and stay tender and juicy.
- The combination of mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses creates a delicious, melty, and flavorful filling.
- Be sure to distribute the filling evenly among the wraps, leaving enough room to roll them up tightly without the filling spilling out.
- Keep a close eye on the wraps in the oven, and bake them until they're lightly golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- These wraps are delicious on their own, but they're even better with a side of marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or your favorite dipping sauce.
