Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and season with the dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, or until it's cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it cool slightly. Once it's cool enough to handle, shred the chicken using two forks.
- In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Mix well until the cheese is evenly distributed.
- Lay the tortilla wraps on a clean surface. Divide the chicken and cheese mixture evenly among the wraps, spreading it in a line down the center of each wrap.
- Fold the bottom of the wrap up over the filling, then fold in the sides and continue rolling the wrap tightly to enclose the filling.
- Place the wrapped chicken rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the wraps in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the wraps are lightly golden.
- Remove the wraps from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Pounding the chicken breasts to an even thickness ensures they cook evenly and stay tender and juicy.
- The combination of mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses creates a delicious, melty, and flavorful filling.
- Be sure to distribute the filling evenly among the wraps, leaving enough room to roll them up tightly without the filling spilling out.
- Keep a close eye on the wraps in the oven, and bake them until they're lightly golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- These wraps are delicious on their own, but they're even better with a side of marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or your favorite dipping sauce.
