Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats (old-fashioned oats)
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or plant-based alternative)
  • 1 medium apple, diced (e.g. Honeycrisp or Gala)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1–2 tbsp maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts, extra cinnamon, yogurt, granola

Equipment

  • mason jars or airtight containers
  • measuring cups and spoons
  • mixing spoon
  • knife and cutting board

Method

  1. Wash, core, and dice the apple into small pieces. Peeling is optional.
  2. In a jar or container, combine oats, milk, yogurt, diced apple, cinnamon, maple syrup, chia seeds, and vanilla extract.
  3. Stir well until fully mixed and oats and chia are evenly distributed.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  5. Stir the oats in the morning. If too thick, add a splash of milk.
  6. Add toppings like chopped nuts, granola, or extra cinnamon. Enjoy!

Notes

Use rolled oats for best texture. Adjust sweetness and spices to your taste. Chill overnight for maximum flavor, and top with nuts or yogurt for extra indulgence. Great for meal prep!
